Overview

The General Manager provides support, guidance, and direction to the branch operations personnel in their business group to achieve the consistent delivery of world-class service.  The General Manager supervises the branch operations team and area managers.  The General Manager serves as the primary senior-level liaison between the company and our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction throughout their business unit.
  • Develop, challenge, and motivate operational and account leadership teams and inspire them to produce superior results.
  • Create an environment where branch operations and account managers are empowered leaders who deliver solutions that are aligned with company goals.
  • Actively engage with the branch’s sales representatives to identify, cultivate and close new business opportunities.
  • Drive financial performance of their business group through sound business and industry practices. Must prepare, analyze, and reconcile financial and operational reports; determine trends; communicate results and implement improvements.
  • Manage branch business unit to ensure profitability by maintaining overtime and direct labor at a percentage acceptable to the company, controlling unbudgeted costs and ensuring client retention.
  • Build and sustain productive relationships with their business unit, clients, vendors/suppliers, corporate partners, and community organizations. Develop and leverage internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business unit and company goals by identifying, leading, or supporting broader community outreach and involvement initiatives; engaging key partners in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; and guiding team member efforts in these areas.
  • Work with the talent acquisition team to develop and implement strategies to attract and retain an engaged workforce.  Identify collective and individual strengths and opportunities for improvement; select and develop talent; support mentorship opportunities, skills development, and succession planning.
  • Increase brand awareness.
  • Work with the training development department to foster a continuous learning environment that delivers the most knowledgeable and skilled teams in security.
  • Ensure execution of contract deliverables at all levels within their business group.
  • Address disciplinary problems in accordance with company policy and work with Human Resources to investigate complaints of discrimination, sexual harassment, or unfair labor practices.
  • Lead risk management efforts for their business unit to promote a culture of risk awareness, risk mitigation, and risk avoidance.
  • Review contracts in conjunction with risk management and sales.
  • Establish and maintain a professional relationship with law enforcement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Business Development Duties:

  • Create, develop, and promote exceptional business relationships within the Houston Region in order to build relationships with potential clients to distinguish ADM Security Solutions from their current provider by:
    • Generating leads through innovation and follow-up.
    • Coordinating your schedule to optimize client engagements throughout the Houston Region.
    • Meeting and collaborating with the operations team in order to demonstrate the resources and capability of ADM Security Solutions during the sales process.
    • Conducting business with the highest level of ethical and professional standards.
    • Demonstrating the highest level of integrity and trust with both internal and external customers.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of profit and loss management.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Must have at least 5+ years of experience managing security operations at multiple locations.
  • Criminal background records check, motor vehicle records check, and drug test required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel and be able to operate and maintain company software programs.
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, public-facing environment
