Overview

Admiral Security Services is seeking an experienced, highly professional Security Manager to oversee security operations at a prestigious Class A office property in Washington, DC. This high-profile location is home to national broadcasters, quasi-governmental organizations, and prominent corporate tenants, requiring an exceptional level of professionalism, discretion, communication, and operational awareness. The ideal candidate will be a confident security professional who can lead personnel, manage competing priorities, interact effectively with clients and building management, and coordinate professionally with multiple law enforcement and emergency response agencies.

 

ACCOUNT MANAGER

Salary $80,000 - $89,000 year

 

We are looking for more than someone who can simply fill a security management position. This is a leadership role in a high-profile environment where professionalism, judgment, communication, and accountability matter every day. The successful candidate will be able to walk into a complex situation, assess the circumstances, communicate with the appropriate stakeholders, coordinate with law enforcement, when necessary, direct security personnel, document the incident, and ensure the operation continues without unnecessary disruption."

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee daily security operations for a high-profile Class A commercial property.
  • Supervise, coach, train, and hold security personnel accountable for performance and adherence to post orders.
  • Serve as a primary security liaison with building management, tenants, visitors, contractors, law enforcement, fire/EMS, and other government or emergency response agencies.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with various law enforcement entities and respond appropriately to security incidents and investigations.
  • Manage access control, life-safety procedures, emergency response, incident management, and security protocols. Investigate incidents, prepare detailed reports, and ensure appropriate documentation and follow-up.
  • Monitor staffing, scheduling, attendance, performance, and post coverage.
  • Conduct regular inspections and ensure officers consistently meet company and client expectations to consistently meet company and client expectations.
  • Respond to emergencies and security incidents with sound judgment and decisive leadership. Participate in meetings with property management and client representatives.
  • Identify security vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions. Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and applicable security procedures. Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Responsible for successful client relations.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Admiral and the client representatives.
  • Ensure accounts are managed efficiently and profitably.
  • Assure site employees are properly trained.
  • Manage the payroll process.  Enter payroll is BOETA (if applicable).
  • Maintain appropriate account files (i.e. personnel, operations and training)
  • Address disciplinary problems and work with HR to investigate any issues.
  • Must have complete knowledge of property or properties where he/she is assigned, facilities, post orders, emergency contact list, emergency procedures, special instructions, and all post duties at the site.
  • Assure proper use, and maintenance of all equipment used at the site by assigned officers (keys/key cards, cell phones, radios, wands, etc.).
  • Assists with the staffing of all post to ensure complete coverage.
  • Responsible for scheduling officers and filling vacant posts.
  • Review written reports and sign-in sheets to ensure clarity, completeness, accuracy, and legibility.
  • Ensure that officers make timely and thorough daily report entries. Audit all entries for completeness, accuracy, and legibility.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements and applicable security procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Previous experience as a Security Manager, Security Director, Site Manager, or comparable supervisory security position.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to remain calm, composed, and decisive during emergencies.
  • must be comfortable working with computers, email, scheduling systems, electronic reporting platforms, and other technology used to manage a modern security operation.

  • Must be flexible as position is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • Must have attended and successfully passed Admiral Leadership training.
  • Must have at least 2 years of security supervisor experience or experience in a related field. A College degree may account for ½ of the experience qualification.
  • Must have an active valid security license.
  • Internal candidates must have an exemplary performance and attendance record with NO disciplines within a year of applying for this position.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft office products and be able to operate and maintain site specific security programs.
